Foam Roller?

Can anyone give me some advice on foam rollers? I'm wondering if it would help my calf muscle injury. Can't afford private physiotherapy and an appointment with an NHS physio is a 12 week wait. The muscle feels so tight - I thought maybe some exercises with a foam roller would ease it off a bit and hopefully speed up recovery time.

I have one and enjoy using it on my legs, i think it helps with the tightness in my calves and my IT band.

Couldn't say what it would do to your injury though. It's pretty painful to use it, especially on the it band.
