I'm about to start week 5 and am looking forward to the challenge of running the longer distances. While looking at the programmes for future weeks they all talk of running for periods of time. In many blogs I've read bloggers talk about running certain distances.
What is the best way to know how far (distance) you have run?

if you have a smartphone or an iphone there are several apps about that will track you via gps e.g.mapmyrun. i dont have a smartphone and i use geodistance.com. I find it helps me plan routes better. Just pop your postcode in and you can plan a route and it will calculate the distance for you.
I use goodrunguide.co.uk to measure and map out my routes before I run them, it gives you loads of info and if you have GPS you can download to it too although I never have. It uses Google map which are very simple to map out any route.
I've got a Nike Plus pedometer which links in to on an old ipod. Listen to the C25k on the ipod and when I get back I plug the ipod in to the computer which gives me a graph. Also, when I have run father than before I get Paula Radcliffe's congratulations and when I have done a fastest km I get Tiger Woods'!
