3 week break

When I head out tomorrow for a run with the club it will be 3 weeks since my last run (sounds like a confession!). I've been away for 2 weeks in the South of France and although I took my running gear with me I didn't actually get round to putting it on lol...My excuse was it was far too hot (and hilly) so I just enjoyed the break and indulged in lots of wine, bread, cheese and other good foods! A fab time was had!

Well back to reality now and it's 7 weeks to the day until I do my first 10k race. Time to get my finger out I think!!! I've drawn up a training plan and it all starts tomorrow! I will blog to let you know how I'm getting on. I'm sure I'll need your support and kick up the bum to keep me going over the next few weeks.

On another note as there are so many posts these days (that is a good thing!) I wondered where alot of other bloggers had gone so was relieved to find the 5k+ tab (lots of good changes to the site over the last couple of weeks) and see how everyone was getting on!!!

I've just blogged about my intentions of running in Italy that were also thwarted by the heat (and the hills - and the lack of pavements!) and I also enjoyed all the wine, bread and cheese too - and have gained 8lbs!! I need to do something about that fairly drastically. ;-)


i think i've only gained 3lbs which based on what i've eaten is a miracle. Start again tomorrow!
