I can't get my hat on, I just ran 28 minutes continuously. I am so amazed I can't put it into words, so nearly there. Also I was on my own and the shoulder gremlin was there all of the way around, but I dug deep and kept going!!!
With the 5 mins walk at start and finish my Nike plus said I covered 3.49 miles, is this on target for 5k running in 30 mins??? Am I too slow???

You did 5.6k in 38 minutes, counting your walk time so that's very good. You will have covered more than 0.6k in the 10 minutes walk but you're not too far off 5k in 30 minutes and, if you don't manage it, you can always have it as a target for 5k+. You've made great progress in just a couple of months- well done
Thankyou for the support, I just need to keep going lol, really eased with my progress so far. If you would have told me three months ago that I could run 28 minutes, I would have laughed at you. Thankyou
That's fantastic, Jimbob74. Had been wondering where you were up to in the programme. 28 mins is flipping sensational! Was that run 1 of week 8? We'll probably be graduating at the same time, if I get my mojo back for the final week.
That's is awesome Jimbob74, well done you I have managed W8 R1 and struggling with R2, today was my third attempt at it Will keep at it until I nail it tho.
I have struggled big time with W8, stopped and walked yesterday for the first time since starting the programme, very fed up about it. Hope you get it nailed, if you've done it once you will get there again. I feel I'm stuck in a place where I need it to get just a tiny bit easier after all this effort! Moan, moan, moan.
Hi soozz, don't get fed up a out it, you are a real star and as long as you keep going you will do it, I'm really worried about r2 as this run bye on finished me off, however I shall keep trying till I do it. Keep going and don't worry about it, keep going and grab your mojo by the horns. You can do it :-D. Good luck!!!
Hang in there Miso! The longer runs can be hard at first and your body is still getting the hang of this running lark! You WILL get there. Because you don't have to time intervals you could try running to your own music and be careful not to start off too fast. Better to slow right down and finish for now. Speed can come later. Good luck
Hi Jimbobo74 I second what Soozz, said . I had a good run on Wednesday W8 R2 managed 31 fairly slow minutes, don't know where it came from. Hope its there tomorrow, not too much wine for me tonight. Pat
I don't really do metric but aren't you already doing 5K and more? Sounds brilliant! I'm starting W9 tomorrow, if you are too, good luck but I'm sure you've already done the distance, thyat's great going!
