After 8 months of no exercise at all, i've made it through week 1. There are quite a few hills on my route, so I am a bit apprehensive for week 2, perhaps i need to reconsider where myroute is, but I find it easier starting at home, and there are hills wherever i go? Any suggestions?

Week 1 Done!!!!!
I did week one which I fount really hard but now started week 2 and I did extra at the end I did two 1 mins run well done for doing week one keep going
Well done! I stuck to the flat for most of my runs during the programme (and since!) so that is a fine achievement.
One suggestion - may look a bit daft - but you could run up the hill then turn round and run down a bit then run back up and so on? You will find it very satisfying when you start to see you can run up for longer stints as time goes on!
I have the hill problem wherever I go too, I really sympathise. Once when it got too much, I did what Deryn61 advised and turned round for a bit and then went at it again, not stopping but just having a bit of downhill recovery in the middle of the big hill. As someone posted after one of my blogs about the hills, it'll make you stronger quickly. Not sure if that's a consolation when you're puffing up the mountain face, but it's allegedly true! I keep thinking of moving to Holland...
well done on completing week1 .I took on a hill early on once and have since stayed clear as i thought trying to run and go uphill was a step too far. Its a personal choice as everyone has different fitness abilitys to start with. If you feel confortable with hills continue. if not choose a different route. I finished W5 this evening and i feel ready to take hills on now so iam going to introduce some gentle hills to challenge me a bit more. Most importantly keep running
