Can't believe it's bad boy week 5 next

Just completed week 4 run 3. Really pleased with this after having a break during my holiday, but actually feel all the hours and hours of walking in the heat while away has improved my stamina and fitness.

So...half-ish way through the programme. Can't quite believe I'm facing week 5 next but really looking forward to getting stuck in. Had a sneaky peak at what's to come and I think the first run sounds ok...running for 5 minutes 3 times sounds do-able (hope I'm not jinxing myself here). I will be coming back to read blogs and ask advice for the terrifying 20 minutes though. I know you shouldn't look ahead, but to think I might just be able to run for that long by the end of next week is mind-boggling.....I'm going to stop myself there before I get too worked up and head for the shower.

Well done especially after having a holiday break, its surprising how well a body copes with a break so long as you have been quite fit and active during that time. I think it gives your joints a chance to settle down and get a good rest too. Keep up the good work, will look forward to reading your blog next time.

I'll be on to week 5 next week too! Is it just me, or does it look easier than week 4? I'm loving the idea of having a bit more walking time, as I'm finding week 4 to be pure, unadulterated evil. Well done for getting back to it after a break though! Good luck! :)

Well done. You will be fine with week 5, it's a bit of a milestone but you will be definitely ready. I found week 4 much worse! It's amazing how you think each run sounds horribly daunting and yet somehow you move on through the programme! (At least that's how it is with me).

Good luck with week 5 - we know you can do it!!!

Hi, beatsasthma! You are doing great....and a week layoff, won't hurt you a bit...it helps your tired body (and mind) recover and regroup for the next challenge. The best part of W5 is the great feeling when R3 is a done deal, too!

Great running to you!
