Can't believe I'm on Week 5 day 2

First post on here as I'm absolutely flabbergasted that today I managed Week 5 Day 2 and ran (well jogged) for two 8 minute sessions. Just can't quite believe that this is working for me and I can actually run at my age! Of course, the dog isn't too happy at not being able to sniff at every hedge/wall/plant/blade of grass but he's never been healthier either. If you're reading this and think "I'll never do that" just give it a go ... you might just surprise yourself!

🎉👍🎉 well done you✋️😁

And welcome 😃

You're doing great, even if the doggy thinks otherwise 😏 Pooch will learn to keep up. Or do what I did, dump the dog😱 She was holding me back😱😳, she had to stay at home😉 ( sorry doggy lovers🐶) but I had to listen to the podcast , not a yapping hound😳😉🏃

Yes I think there will come a point when doggie stays home ... was looking at him today and he looks like he's lost more weight than me!!! Poor thing!!

Mine started looking at me in terror when she saw me putting my running shoes on! She'd hide or pretend to be asleep 😴 😂 Good luck 👍😁❤🌶

Well done. It's a great feeling, isn't it. I'm no spring chicken, and hadn't run any distance for 40 odd years, but I've made it to week 8 with no ill effects 😀 And you'll be there soon too!

Well done! No need for the (well jogged) apology because a) you can't run C25K too slow and b) anything is faster than sitting on that couch like you were!

You'll be fine✋️

I remember reading a comment on this run from a grad, it was brilliant advice ( sorry can't remember who wrote it ❤)

Break it up mentally, 5 minutes, ok I've done that ✅

Another 3 ✅ no problem 👍

Just as you're wondering how far you've come, and thinking back to the w1 and 60 seconds nigh on defeating you..... Laura is telling you you're half way there🎉🎉🎉

You need to slow down now, possibly 😉 A plod is good, just keep going 🏃 one foot in front of the other 👍 Before you'll know it fireworks 💥 are going off in your head 🎉💥🎉 and you've done it😉

I actually cried when I completed this one ( don't tell anyone 😉)

It is achievable, you can do it! And you will feel great when you do😁 Good luck✋️💪🏃❤🌶
