Well after 2 weeks break while on holiday I've found my mojo and my running is getting better and better.
Had 2 x 5K runs this week and decided to try a longer one this morning.
Managed 8.40K in 58 minutes and that included being held up about 1 minute at traffic lights 3 times. So I'm well chuffed this morning. Didn't think I would ever manage 10K but its within my grasp cos I could have kept going albeit slowly for a bit longer. Yippee

Woohoo indeed! Well done you! Hopefully I'll find my mojo for longer runs whilst i'm on holiday. Trainers are packed just hope I can make myself get out there instead of lounging by the pool!
Enjoy your hols AliB1. I took my running gear and never had one run (hang my head in shame) But it didn't really make a lot of difference as I was on the go the whole time trying to keep up with my 10 year old granddaughter. It was more exhausting than any 10K runs I can tell you!! Loved every minute of it.
Wow look at you go! Defiantly won't be long until you hit the 10k mark. Did you enjoy your holidays? Good to hear your running hasn't suffered any from the time off.
Hi Rose885! Had a smashing holiday thank you, was hot and sunny so got lazy and didn't run once!! Are you going down to the beach tomorrow for Parkrun? Was going to offer to do a duty seeing that I was planning to run today but they have full compliment of helpers so won't be needed but still thought I would go down and cheer everyone on and go for a coffee afterwards.
That is great Oldgirl. I've managed about 6K so far so respect. Hoping to move towards the 10K mark and you are definitely helping to motivate me towards that target. Keep up the good work.
Well done you, I have only managed 6.5km in 37 mins so far but getting there, keep up the good work, I too am aiming for the 10km. i am running this in September
