Just looking ahead on the schedule. End of Week 4 longest constant run is 5 mins but by the end of week 5 it has shot up to 20mins!!!

That is a huge jump! How did people find that / manage?

Same as me!

It was a daunting prospect but most folk seem to manage it. It's easy to lose sight of the fact that the walking parts of the podcasts are not just there to allow you to catch your breath, but, if you walk briskly enough, are also helping to build your strength and stamina. So, in effect, you are still just exercising for 20 minutes in total whether that be walking/running or running only. When the time comes, if you've completed all the other podcasts I'm sure you'll sail through the 20 minutes.

don't worry. week 5r3 makes lots of people anxious. Take a look at the tagged blogs and you'lll find it's not going to be the problem you think it is. You will have already done 2 runs of 8 minutes each in Wk 5 runs 1 and 2 so all you're doing is joining those up with the interval walk- easy! :)

I always found it was best not to look too far ahead. ;) In the early weeks I didn't know what I'd be doing until Laura told me. I think I started looking ahead at the end of week 4 and was horrified. However, as happierswimming says, you've worked your way up to it gradually and it isn't as huge a challenge as it sounds. In week 6, you go back to intervals briefly but it's important to make sure you give yourself enough recovery time between runs. However, after W5,R3 you'll be longing to run continuously without those breaks in your rhythm. :)

I hear you! I had the same worry when I got to Week 5 but you do need to bear in mind that they are gearing you up for the longer runs so just take your time and you will be fine! it isn't as bigger challenge as you think as you have got this far and that means you should be ready for it! I say this as I've ploughed through the 'tougher' no-break runs and graduated on Wednesday - if I can do it, anyone can! :)

Thanks for replies. Guess I should just take it 'step-by-step' - 'run-by-run'
