After trying the new Stepping Stone podcast on Tuesday and finding it a little on the fast side for my pace to be able to complete it, I decided today to go back to my original plan of re-starting C25K but speeding up.
So today I went back to week 1, but on the walking bits I was going at my previous running speed and the running bits I upped my speed by 0.7mph
Now I’ve confused myself – Does this mean I’ve ‘ran’ for 30 minutes as the whole podcast was done using at least my previous running speed or have I only 'ran' for 8 minutes??
And oh boy, those 90 seconds go even quicker 2nd time around!!

You have just run for 30 minutes, but changing the pace means 'they' ( the running folk) call this 'intervals' instead of a steady slowish pace throughout which they call 'easy'. ( I don't know why they call it 'easy' because there's nothing easy about running for 30 minutes!)
Thank you - I knew there had to be an explanation but becasue I was trying to walk at my running speed (no bent arm swinging!) I just wasn't sure! It was blooming hard work too. And you are right, there is nothing 'easy' about running
