yes, it's fine to have 2 days off- you don't need to run more than 3 times a week but try to exercise on the other days- swim, cycle, walk, dance, anything except run
Yes, anything non-impact on "rest" days. I do yoga once a week and go to the gym but there are all sorts of different things you can do instead.
