I run, I get hot, I perspire, I come home, I have a shower, then it takes about an hour for me to actually stop perspiring and cool down. I don't suppose this humid weather is helping.
Any tips for cooling down more quickly?

I am the same sometimes. Today was horrid, just pouring off me when I got back. It was VERY hot and more than once the old "mad dogs and Englishmen" song passed through my mind.
I sat down for half an hour then had a cold shower and still it wouldn't stop
If you figure it out please share! The only answer I have is to run in the rain ;-). Not sure that helps though.
I feel your pain bit respect your mastery of emocions. How do you do the cry-ey face? I feel I may have use for it during C25K

Hah, same here!! Still flushed and V hot.... shower didn't even work! :((
I go swimming after c25k shower and the beauty of swimming is NO SWEATING!
I know! I sometimes think I might be abnormal..that thing about ladies perspiring or is it glowing? Anyhow, I glowed something rotten today. The humidity is definitely not my friend.
I second this! I came back from my run at half 6 this morning, had breakfast, but was soaked through from all my 'glowing'! Not pleasant, and glad I'm home alone for the meantime, so that no one else had to witness it!
Ladies glow. I glowed torrentially after hill sessions with running club last night. I was also glowing torrentially this morning when I woke up - my body temperature control seems to be Out of Order
wet flannel in a plastic bag into the fridge just before you go out. helps me as I look like I am melting when I get home. sweat just pours off my face & it sooooo hurts when it goes in your eyes
other than that, how about running with nowt on that'll give the neighbours something to talk about hehe
& my face stays red for at least an hour after my shower so have to time my runs to avoid going anywhere other than indoors
I finished my run over 3 hours ago and only just showered as I was still so hot. My poor family just have to put up with my sweaty body for a couple of hours. I find running cold water on the insides of my wrists make me feel cooler but doesn't stop me "glowing".
I "glow" profusely also and it def takes a while to cool down...and I run at 5 am!
In the UK we just aren't used to this heat, lol. Don't worry, it won't last. We'll all be running in the rain again soon.
Did week 1 R2 yesterday. Showered, went into work, face didn't stop glowing until about 10.30 in the morning. Colleague though I looked "uncomfortable"! Yes, it is hot sweaty work
Don't worry travel to Scotland right now, run here, no hot days no sweat!
Almost definetly, and their are thousands out there just now!
And my husband reckons I should shower straight after running (he believes you catch a cold if you don't!!!). Trying hard to convince him that I need a half hour or so to cool down before the shower...
I do stretches and crunches and other bits of exercise when I get back. Then need to recover for around 20 mins before I can jump in the bath. Always Look like a crabstick when I get back and I'm only on WK2!
This topic made me smile - today I got back from my run & my 14 year old observed that I was very red & sweaty... If anyone discovers a way to run without getting red & sweaty then please let me know!
