Today, I did the second run of week one and it hurt. Not 'oh no, I will never be able to do this' by any means, but definitely a little harder than Monday and I'm sure I remember the second run being easier last time.
I can do this; nothing seems unbearable, but I just wish the next day or two didn't hurt quite so much. I was still aching when the time came for today's run, which seems wrong to me, but I was fine once I got going and I hadn't even finished the five-minute warm-up before the stiffness went away.
Been drinking lots and had a glass of Pimm's after I finished to celebrate not being dead. It's all working out okay and I just need to beat this worthless flesh into submission.

choose a route as flat as you can during these early runs to prevent aches and pains and stretch carefully. On your rest days, try brisk walking or swimming so your muscles don't seize up and have a hot bath or shower after runs and keep moving. Good luck
Do you stretch after your runs ? And you might find that a short walk or cycle on your rest days helps with the stiffness - I didn't set off to go for walks but I was trying to make sure I took at least 10,000 steps every day and I don't think I suffered too much with stiffness.
Keep it up, you will be surprised how quickly your body adjusts. Just keep it steady don't push too hard and lots of stretches at the end like the others say. well done its all good really.
