Week 8 Run 1 done!!

Thanks to those who encouraged me yesterday, this morning I got up and followed the podcast and managed the run without (too much) of a problem its definately a more mental than physical challenge for me, despite my weight.

Also I am pleased to report that the music for week 8 was a HUGE improvement on last week so I will stick with the podcast this week.

My legs feel like lead today though!!!!

Well done on doing that run! You're right, it really is in the head in the end. The programme is geared to complete beginners (like me) and doesn't ask us to do the impossible physically. It's a question of getting our minds around the length of time running, I think. Bit by bit we get used to the idea of running for longer... and it works! I ran 30 minutes this morning for the first time in my life. What a thrill! Good luck with the rest of the programme.
