I cant believe it yesterday I had done a 8min warm up walk, started running and was going great guns when bang, ouch what was that pain shooting up my calf, ran a couple more steps and had to stop. Grrrr I was so miffed, I had to hobble back 2 miles to the house, have decided to not run on it until sunday again, cant believe I am not able to run for a week. On the plus side I have still stopped smoking and have lost 6.5lbs at slimming world over the last two weeks, have to try and look at the positives :(

  • Oh jooniemac, just seen your blog, so sorry to hear about your injury, terrified of that happening. Hope resting it sorts it out for you. I will be keeping an eye out to see how you get on.

Well done on the smoking though and the weight loss, I've swapped to e cigarettes so can't say I've stopped smoking and my weight loss has definitely stalled.

  • Grrrrr, I am so frustrated but icing elevating and resting it seems to be better but know I have to be patient, not one of my stronger qualities lol :)

  • Sorry to hear about the pain. I just graduated finally after being stopped in my tracks during week 7 with a sprained mcl. Thought I'd never get through and yet I did. Will send good thoughts your way. Feel better soon! Congrats on quitting smoking and the weight loss!

  • so you know how I feel its so frustrating isnt it. I am sure with rest and ice it will be fine if I dont run on it too soon

  • I do and it bites! Forced inactivity is the worst but you'll come back stronger.
