I was supposed to have a gym workout today, but the weekend mixed up my plans just a bit.So today changed plans and decided to try a straight forward 5k run with no walking, it was back in the 1980s that I last ran this far non stop, so this was a clench everything and trust in the system. The area I chose was known to me from years ago, (too many years) , the first part was rather uneven and rough under foot, with a couple of steep bits, then it was a steady uphill for a km then I got onto what I knew, a bit uneven, not road or track running, with some narrow track running, not like my normal canal running. This one was over 50 minutes of running, my pace was overall a bit slower than my last run/walk/run, but as this was a test of pure running for 5k I was totally pleased. Just over 10 minutes per km, I can't wait for my next track 5k ππͺππ
Oh no: I was supposed to have a gym workout... - Couch to 5K
Oh no
It's that go slower to run longer isn't it? I'm faster with walk/run intervals but it's so satisfying to be able to run the whole thing isn't it? Well done π
Well done to you β πPetem56 on running non stop your first 5k since the 1980s, with more practice in the gym I am sure you will be able to run your next 5K on the track sub 45 minutes πββοΈβ
Well done Petem56. Thatβs brilliant ! You ran 5k non stop. Donβt worry about your pace etc as long as you enjoyed it thatβs the main thing isnβt it? ππππββοΈπββοΈπ
ππ₯³Itβs finally happened for you! What a feeling that must be! Well doneπ
Well done Pete! I was going to say, back to the 80's but from what I remember of them, they are better off left where they are (specially the hairdos)
π I might have had a perm myself, but I'll never admit to the shoulder pads.
