Graduated Monday and haven't run since šŸ˜¢

I was feeling so chuffed with myself and planning my next challange but by Tuesday morning my right ankle had swollen up and is feeling very bruised. To add to this my left knee is sore too. I can't believe how much I've missed my runs. Hopefully it won't be for too long.

I know how you feel - I graduated three weeks ago & have been on the IC ever since. I tried to run while still in a lot of discomfort & itā€™s really put me back, so please do rest & recover properly. šŸ™‚

We ought to start our own club šŸ˜‚ ā€œGraduates falling apartā€ šŸ˜‚. I too graduated 3 weeks ago, a week later I damaged my Achilles and havenā€™t run for 2 weeks!! Feeling so frustrated and fed up. Think Iā€™m gonna have to repeat quite a few of the weeks to get back again. Hope you both (TSword and QueenTea) feel better soon šŸ˜˜

Thatā€™s a great idea! I was thinking this morning that I might go back to W6 & build up gradually to the 30 mins again. Iā€™m thinking of trying tomorrow but should maybe wait until thigh is completely pain free? Hope your Achilles heals quickly. X

I would wait if you still have pain, you might make it worse. Are there any exercises or stretches you can do to help? I spoke to a physio at work, she gave me some stretches and said I would know when the time was right to try again. It makes me very cautious tho. Take care and let me know how it goes šŸ˜•

Thanks. Yes I have been doing stretches & using warm oil which helps. Youā€™re right - I must wait until Iā€™m pain free or Iā€™ll be on here moaning again about how long it is since Iā€™ve been able to runšŸ˜¹

I think we should šŸ˜„. Everywhere I go, I seem to across someone running but until the old body stops hurting, there is nothing we can do.
