Just curious how many of us are using these podcasts abroad. I'm recommending them here in Kenya to my friends!

Running from Montreal, Canada! Love the podcasts and the spinoffs (it's nice that other people have made their own podcasts with various types of music!)

A real Kenyan! Brilliant! My new mantra (suggested as a motto for the t-shirts) is 'I'm a Kenyan on the inside!' as Kenyans are such fantastic runners and win all the marathons! Sadly my running is not to Kenyan standards but I can dream! I'm Irish but running in the UK btw. :-)

No, sorry, not a real Kenyan! Just a Brit living and working in Kenya, so I'm afraid none of those amazing Kenyan running genes!

I love watching the Kenyans run they have superb running form and never look tired but I think we can all be natural runners. If you want to be a good runner I say watch how they run :)

Another person doing this in Africa! YEAH! I am British but live and work in Mali, West Africa. I completed this programme doing all my runs either here or in neighbouring Burkina Faso (we evacuated for a while following the recent coup and rebellion in the north of the country). Back in Mali now and still running (although being security-aware makes it a little harder). I recommended the podcasts to all my new friends in Burkina (hopefully there will be some American living there using this now!) Not many English speakers around me here in Mali at the moment.

I am British too. I've been to Mali and Ouaga and will be back in Ouaga later in the year. Wow, you are brave to run in the heat and the dust in either place. You must need a LOT of water!

Brave, stupid or just desperate to get fit! Take your pick! And I go out by 6.30am at the latest (otherwise there is NO WAY I'd survive!) Glad to find another Brit whose been to Mali! Bamako I presume? Or elsewhere?

yes, just Bamako. Our group has a centre there, and I ran a workshop a few years ago by the Niger at a Catholic centre. I'll be in Ouaga in mid Oct. Let me know if you finish up there, we could go running together!

Seriously hoping we don't get evacuated again - but I will bear it in mind if we do!

I just started this week. I'm in the state of Virginia in the US. My sister introduced me to this program. She runs in the state of North Carolina. I love this plan.

Thanks all of you! So we are quite a group out of the UK. I wish they had more parks in other countries and park runs.

Ah but it is cool,in Kenya! I'm hearing about the heat in the UK. I have friends in Ohio. Here it is 50s at night, 70s in the day. So you have graduated - yeah! I'm on week 8 run 2

Sorry I meant US not UK!

I am Italian but living in Dubai. I just suggested this program to 2 my colleagues.

Having a few days off from running as Tuesday I felt unwell after my early morning run ( 35 C and 76% humidity).

traveltoomuch profile image

Well, I should think it must be very hard running in those conditions. Sounds like Douala in Cameroon only worse!

I'm running in a Paris suburb and my run is around a hill which gives me views across to the Eiffel tower. There seemsto be very few people who run early over here, just the crazy Brits!

traveltoomuch profile image

What fun! We are an interesting group of Brits and otehrs running all over the world by the sound of it!

I live in France but I'm on tour at the moment (I'm a musician) so Switzerland yesterday and Germany for the next few days. Although a lot of them already run, I've recommended the podcasts to band and crew that don't. I have one convert so far!

Sounds fun! What do you think of their music on the podcasts??? I'd like someone to come up with some alternatives.

Running in Kuwait! Started on the treadmill in the hotel, but one of the two machines broke down and too many people vying for it. Had to reschedule 2 runs but then got fed up waiting so went for W3R1 outside, thinking ill probably get roasted (45c at 7pm!). But it was great! Except for my burning face :) Will go for W3R3 tonight, wish me luck!

So how did it go? I'm in Burundi right now and it's too hot to run except very early morning.

I'm in Norway, Lillehammer. Heard about C25K through at friend living in the UK. So excited about the programme. Doing week 8, run 3 tomorrow. :)

Great! There must be at least 50 people running outside the UK judging from the answers. I'm without an MP3 for the moment so am stuck on Week 9 run 1! I did some running on a treadmill yesterday - prefer the outdoors.
