ps I'm running for The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund which is a charity close to my heart as my Dad passed away from this horrific disease in February 2011.

Tip for Sunday, get a good night's sleep Rockshammer!! So dampen that excitement a little if you can. Wonderful charity, well done and I hope you have a really good run. Good luck.
I'm running near Heathfield, an event organised by our local running club. Usually just over 200 people run. I'm doing it for preperation for a half marathon in September. I'll be thinking of you!
Good luck! You'll have virtual company from me too, I've got Loughboroughs Race for Life 10k tomorrow. I'm a week away from c25k graduation after an accident pushed me back but I can't let my dad down (2005 from the horrible C word).
Runners World and other mags and blogs suggest fuel like a bowl of pasta the night before then something like porridge & banana in the morning along with a bit of energy drink; don't forget pre race stretches & like Greg says, slowly at first to conserve energy then build up pace, I'm hoping the crowd and the amount of people running around me with help me along. sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs... although they are great for protein and muscle repair lol!
I was gutted I wasnt able to do the llanelli 10k I had been using as my training focus last week as I had (another) chest infection Havent run for 3 weeks but determined to get out later today for a short run at least.
