...and have done 2 sessions from Week 1. OK so far. But I'm 73 and recovering from an injury, so progress might be slow. Used to walk about 10,000 steps a day, and still wear my pedometer, but only doing about 4-5,000 at the moment. I love the way this program increases my steps

Welcome. There is nothing wrong with slow progress. I'm also coming back from an injury and have tinkered with the program along the way, repeating some sessions and jumping back to earlier in the program as needed.

Well done for starting 👍

Slow and steady gets you there. This isn't a race, it's your plan and you do it at your speed and timing. Agree with Wizziewood Respect, as Aretha says... and you're not really grumpy are you? You sound really friendly!

Hey Jan - don't blow my cover! Just completed Week 1, but have a confession: haven't stepped outside yet. Done it all in my house: from front door, down hall, through my bedroom, dressing room and bathroom, turn round and come back. About 30 paces. Have fear of falling over (having recently done so) and at least I'd be at home. But beloved said he would come to the park with me on Monday and we will start Week 2 together. He can do 20 mins running on a good day (he's a few months younger than me - only 72)

Inside outside it doesn't matter and toy boys always keep you on your toes...so enjoy your Monday run. It's like a building this programme - early weeks are your running foundations, so no sloppy building work is allowed! Take it slow and steady and you will be chasing your toy boy beloved in no time....

Just completed W2R1 - hooray. 90 seconds is SO much longer than 60. But was pleasantly out of breath by the end. Beloved had promised to run with me in the park, but he got into a fight with the printer, and although he won, he was in no state, so I did it at home on my own. He wanted to do tomorrow morning, but I'd like to obey Laura and leave a day. Wednesday morning we share a Personal Trainer at the gym: he will run about 20 minutes, I'll do 12 mins on rowing machine, but no weights as broke my hand in a fall about 4 weeks ago. So we've agreed on Thursday morning.
