After an appalling W4R2 on Monday, I stepped outside with trepidation yesterday evening to do W4R3 and it was AM-AZ-IMG!
The previous poor run was really playing on my mind & I had convinced myself that I was nowhere near ready for the trials & tribulations of W5 & all it entails. Well, I decided to ignore all that negativity & just flew (at a snail’s pace, you understand). At the end of the last 5 min run, I decided to see how long I could continue running for, thinking if I could make it to 7.5 mins, W5 wouldn’t seem so bad. So I carried on plodding, sort of in this mythical zone that I hear people talking about. Next thing I know, I had run throughout the whole 5 min cool down. "YES, 10MINUTES" I shouted at the top of my voice down the quiet country lane. Me, the one who nearly collapsed on W1R1 with exhaustion, had just run continuously for 10 whole minutes. I was, & still am elated & can’t stop smiling. I have had my 1st Forrest Gump moment.
W5 doesn’t seem quite so scary now. I love this feeling!
