Yesterday, I succumbed to this weird sore throat thing that my husband brought home with him for his holiday, and spent more time asleep and/or feeling sorry for myself than anything else. I also didn’t manage a run - unless you count the jog shuffle thing I did across a field to head off my friend’s terrier when he decided to head home half way through our walk. He’s not particularly fast but he is very determined!
Woke up this morning feeling pretty good, so headed off, intp the sunshine and onto the local trail that I ran on Monday night, which meant I’d always be close enough to cut my planned 5k short if I needed to.
I didn’t need to \0/
Although I did need to adjust my route twice because of oncoming dogs who were on leads because my guy was free running and I really didn’t want to stop. Luckily one adjustment was at a fork in the path, and the other one was somewhere it was easy enough for me to just turn right round and head back. Even if it did mean I was then running up the local Hill of Doooom.
End result? An undulating 5k in 47 minutes.
