Went out this afternoon in gales and drizzle to get in a six miler. I planned to go all around the houses then a quick trip over the Tamar bridge to Devon and back...next thing I look at the Garmin and I'm coming up for seven miles instead, groaannn, can't miss that marker, so I keep going up the hill, up the hill, hit seven about 3/4 mile from home but I have to stop as I seem to have been going uphill FOREVER and I want a good time for the seven miles; continuing slower and slower up the hill will affect that. I hit the stop button on the Garmin, and walk for a minute. Then I start a slow jog to get home. Stretch; stretch; stretch, quads, hamstrings, back, calves. Finish on a nice runner's high.

Water; shower; apple, glad rags....and off out for the evening! A pasta dinner, with a nice large glass of Valpolicella, comedy night in Exeter, plus several glasses of a very nice Merlot. Glad I got the run in, 765 calories to offset that lot!

For the stat geeks (I'm one!!) connect.garmin.com/activity...

I'm impressed, you must be really fit. I have never run that far! Or that fast.

Small word of caution-I wonder if it is wise to put your running route and home address and photo on the internet like this? Perhaps I'm just paranoid.Sorry.

I don't follow the same route every time cupcakesandstilettos, I always mix it up, change the times of day, and days I run etc. My address as such, street number is not on there. Ok, most people could probably tell, if they followed my blogs long enough, which street I live on, but I don't think I've got a stalker, and I've been posting my runs since last year. Thanks for your concern though!
