Congratulations on getting out there Louise!! Slow & steady is the name of the game. Smart pace is somewhere between a 🐌& a🐢. Lots of support & encouragement on this forum👍🏻
That’s the right attitude! I also had the same realisation after r1. I also realised how slow, slow running can be to pace yourself. Armed with warmer clothes and hat, I’m now on my 4th run.
Welcome and keep posting!
Yes you so can do this Louise, if I can, anyone can!! You're so right, actually getting out of the door. I graduated in November 2017 and still struggle with the temptation not to run sometimes, even though I have grown to love it. So if you're being that positive so early on, you're well ahead of the game!
Getting the layering right in this weather is a real challenge. I remember somewhere in the early days of C25K I was due to run but it was raining, so I just put on my usual thick coat. 1 minute in I was boiling
All the best for your running journey, just remember two important points:
1. Slow and steady!!
2. Listen to Oldfloss , she talks sense, and will do her very best to help and encourage you through this running journey of yours. Oh, and when she tries to pretend she's a snail... don't believe her, she's not
