Nearly didn't go out this morning; I still have an awful cold and have felt oddly deflated since Saturdays parkrun. I was super high on Saturday and then came down with a bump the next day.
I was due for an 8 mile run today so I knew I was going to need a big talking to before going out. There was to be no stopping and no quitting half way. I wasn't to let a silly cold get in the way, just take extra tissues.
I'm pleased to say that I did 13k (just over 8 miles) and it took me one hour and 32 minutes. The route did a loop around the village including several hills and finished with 20 minutes on an incredilbly muddy trail through a wood, so my pace dropped significantly there. It's a good minute slower per km compared to the flat of Hastings seafront, but hey, I was more than pleased with my efforts
