Couch potato no more

At end of W2R1, I wrote this long whiny blog about my struggles with breathing, pacing, waking up and what not. Less than four weeks hence, I was brimming with joy when I finished week 5 last night. I was busy the entire day and came home exhausted at 10pm last night..ready to hit the sack and dreading the thought of having to set out to work at 6am today. And guess what? I surprised myself by going out for a run - I just couldn't stop myself! I finished the run at 11, slept at midnight and woke up at 5. Remember, I am not somebody who can sacrifice sleep so easily?

I even sprinted for a few seconds until the walker who previously overtook me(I was running huh!) began to resemble a tiny dot from where I slowed down :D

So I guess it's time to make it official - I am truly, deeply, madly in love with running :)

PS: is there some way I can change my display name? :-)

Don't know if you can change your name, but it is now tongue in cheek and you can say it with irony. This running thing is weird, it gets under your skin ...

Its a dreadful addiction from which there is no escape. Last night I went online and ordered more running clothes instead of summer things that I actually need (damn you sportsdirect.com). My excuse was that my black running tee is too hot for this weather, what the excuse for the rest including purple Nike 2 in 1 shorts is i have no idea and will have to work that one out before the parcel arrives and I have to explain to DOH :)

Congrats on your progress so far, you are doing brilliantly

Ah, I've been looking at those purple pants, but ended up getting the cheapo karrimor shorts instead as I had already bought some 3/4 tights and needed to get some new headphones as I kept losing Laura and I so cannot cope without Laura!!!!
