I love reading the blogs of everyone worldwide but i'm curious about any Australian people who are on the program or have graduated? I can't access the search for members function.. it doesn't seem to recognise Aussie postcodes...
Are there any other Australian c25k ers lurkin... - Couch to 5K
Are there any other Australian c25k ers lurking out there?
Hi there I'm in Vic, just finished week six
Brunswick east, u?
Ahhh I'm a sydneysider... Still it's nice to know there are others! I'm sure we aren't the only ones. I graduated in march.
Hi, I am in Hobart Tas. Just did my W4 R1 today.
Well done! Must be a bit chilly down your way!
I think another program is coming out in the next week or 2... Bridge to 10k... I had to do my own program to get to 10k but I did it! I usually run three times a week and mix it up a little. Some intervals, some fast runs to get my speed up ( I'm aiming for 10k in 60 mins) and some longer endurance runs... Did close to 12k this morning. And, believe it or not, it's not as hard as you would imagine! I still get the occasional difficult run but that's part of the journey. I'm going in a few races over the next 3 months, just to keep the motivation up!
Youve done wonderfully to get to week 4! Congrats! I'm sure you will be fine for your next run.
Hi I'm in rural Victoria. Hope to head down and run 5km in the Run Melbourne event in July. Graduated last month and have continued running 30mins x 3 times a week. This only gets me about 4kms though so still have some work to do. I have a bit more time for my run tomorrow so may push it a bit harder. Well done on getting to 12km.
Just wanted to say hello to all you Aussie's my hubby and I have been 5 times and traveled all over the North, Darwin, Port Douglas and beyond, Cairns, Red Centre, Sydney, Gold Coast. Your country is wonderful and we hope to get back down there again one day.
Didn't appeciate that this web site was accessable to such distant shores.
Thanks Oldgirl. Yes it is a wonderful country... so much room to run!!! And usually lovely weather, though it seems your little island is getting its fair share of sunshine at the moment too. I chose the NHS c25k as opposed to all the American versions because Laura has a much nicer accent... very easy on the ear! lol. My friend who got me onto it is married to an English guy, so she is a little biased. Still what a great program... i see there are followers in Canada too.
Hello, Im on the NSW Central Coast. I have just walked in the door from finishing W2R2. Feeling really stuffed. I was supposed to do it yesteday but it was so cold and windy I just couldn't bring myself to do it yesterday.
Yup cold and windy yesterday and cold today... seems winter is upon us already. Well done for having the get up and go to complete w2r2, no small achievement! You are almost to week 3...
My sister lives on the Central Coast at Umina so i know the area a little. Are you close to there?
Hi all again, so great that you are running. I just wanted to say I have learnt to go out in all kinds of weather, and lo and behold the cold drizzly days seem to be my best. Now I don't tighten all my muscles at the thought of being out in the weather I actually go faster in a drizzle -perhaps cause I don't warm up so! Keep up the great stories. Last night I came home from too much wine and did a few laps at one am, very sloshy in the belly but I was proud
