Does the 5k include the 10 min walk???

And also I am thinking of doing 3 min walks instead of 5 as I find myself just wanting to run, any view? I am on w8r3

I don't count the warm up/warm down runs as part of the 5k. I start my sports tracker app as soon as I actually start running, not during the walks.

As for shortening the warm up/down I'm not sure what the official adivce is. Personally I love them. I like the 5 mins warm up as it gets me psyched up for the run and I really love the 5 mins or so walk home at the end as it makes me reflect on how great I feel about my achievements.

Think doing the full 5 mins worthwhile as it warms up your muscles - I would suspect a shorter walk would lead to more danger of straining them. Certainly, I feel I need it!
