You are over half way through - so well done :) Are you struggling because you are going too fast? The most important tips I have found are to go slow and pace myself and to take on plenty of water.

I dont know anyone else on this programme so I dont have competition. It is hard to hear how everyone else is getting on when you are struggling! Keep reading these blogs. Everyone inspires each other.

We are all behind you!! Iam on W6R1 tomorrow so not far behind you. We can do this!!!!!!!

Good luck :D

Well done for completing this run, i was nowhere close tonight.

I think HollyO could be right, pace is so important, take it easier its not a race.

When you slow the pace and finish its such a great feeling, so you should not be feel ing its like a chore.

Good luck with your 3rd run, i've got to repeat run 2, but will do it.

It's true that choosing a manageable pace really matters, but it may be that this isn't quite what you are asking. What makes C25K or running enjoyable? I am sure it is different for different people. I enjoy my runs (usually) because I get to spend some time outside and smell the flowers, I get occasional bonding time with my partner, I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in challenging myself and growing. Doing C25K gives me a chance to succeed at something in my control, when other things in life are frustrating. I release nervous tension, and occasionally even feel a bit euphoric. The plodding steps themselves are not very interesting or fun - it is what they symbolize, and what other benefits I get that make me eager to go out on my runs. If you want that same feeling, you may consider some similar benefits. Do you want to make a friend to run with? Do you want to plan to do a hike or run you couldn't do before, but always wanted to try? Do you want to spend time enjoying the sound of birds and the breeze on your shoulders when you run? You can choose to set up your runs and your goals to be more fulfilling, and you might find you like them better.

Hi and thank you both for your support and encouragement!! Trust me when i say that i'm not going too fast :)-it's just that i'm finding it very tough and if i'm honest unenjoyable. I managed to complete the run thanks in large part to my 9 year old son who's decided to be my running buddy-what a great son! So without him i'm not convinced that i would have completed it either and so icandothis - thanks for your support and i love your attitude, if at first you don't succeed try again - much healthier than giving up JUST because it's not 100%.

Thank you both x

Thank you Alaiyo - i did initially find it easier running in a more mindful way and not thinking, "i can't wait to get to the end" and more of this is how it is, this is what i'm doing, this is what's all around me and generally being calmer. What i'm struggling with is my lack of fitness and finding the right time of day - 6.30am is too early and then there's work and this evening was the first after work session - very hard going...I think i'll persist and hope it gets better x
