I found all the runs hard but the elation I felt after each one made up for it! I think it was about 2 wks after graduating, maybe the morning I got up extra early before work at 5.45 to get that run in before my busy day at work then choir practice that I realised a bug (or running loving aliens) had taken over!

I think my bug is more of a sporadic visitor. I've had a few runs which surprised me, including one in the rain in the pitch dark, after a day of using the weather as an excuse for not bothering and then being overcome with an urge to run late at night. But as someone who really prefers pleasure over pain, I'm still waiting for the bug to take up permanent residence - don't think that will happen until I've completed week 9 and then kept repeating it until I find it relatively easy.

I realised that I had cought the bug when I didn't run for a couple of days. I was grumpy, fidgety and desperate to get the lycra on. I don't wake up thinking "yea running today" and sometimes I think that I just can't be bothered but I love the feeling when I have completed another week. It is often a struggle to go out but if I don't go it only takes a few hours before the urge is so strong that I have to.

I agree with Mirella, I get twitchy the night before I go out in the morning and find I forgo a glass of wine because I might spoil my run!!! I find the runs difficult but find the elation of actually doing one afterwards amazing. So it's not actually during but before and after for me!!

I find the best thing to do is lay out my trainers and shorts near the front door then as soon as I get home from work get them on and get out of the door again before even thinking about it. Just feels like a slight extension of the work day and you feel great relaxing in the evening getting on with whatever you need/want to do!
