Following Tuesday success I have decided that I'm going to give the Parkrun a go tomorrow. By saying it outloud on here I'll have to go!!!. Hope my shins aren't aching quite so much by the morning (ice packs later) and the small blister I have on my heel (work shoes should be banned!) won't bother me!!!

Am a little nervous.......ok, ok I am VERY nervous but I know I can do it. However, on their Facebook page (yes I'm online stalking them!) they say that 2 local running clubs will be using the Parkrun as a Mob Match...what the heck is that??? Guess I'll find out tomorrow!!

Wish me luck & I'll let you know how I get on :)

PS - Must be getting serious as whilst I'm treating myself to take out pizza for dinner have decided not to have the huge glass of wine that I really need after a crap day in the office. Don't want to hamper my performance lol

Well done AliB1, I'll be watching for your feedback cos its my aim to try my local one in another few weeks. Have you got your barcode all sorted?

Good luck, hope the weather is good for you too.

Personally I'd have skipped the pizza and gone straight for the wine, dough sits heavy on my stomach ;) Make sure you report back tomorrow with the news of the mobbing and how you came in first and broke the world record :)

Serious now, good luck and make sure you have fun :) And like oldgirl said, make sure you've got your barcode!

That's brilliant! I hope it goes really well. I've put off doing a Race for Life until July with the plan to do some park runs before then. I can't go tomorrow as I'm at work but I might try to pluck up the courage to go next weekend! Let us know how you get on! lucyx

Good luck AliB1 ! I'm doing my bit by having a large glass of wine for you :-) It's a tough job - but you're worth it ;-)

There are a few in Oz but being such a big country it may be hard to find a local one!
