Well I should have started week 3 just over a week ago but because my mum was rushed into hospital my mind was not on running, so now should I redo week 2 or just go for it and try week3?

Just go for it! I have just gone back and checked the difference between week 2 and week 3.
Wk2 = 90 sec running, 2 min walking - x6
Wk3 = 90 sec running, 90 sec walking, 3 min run, 3 min walk - x2
If you begin week 3 and do the shorter interval for resting and when you get to the 3 min run just give it a try You might be surprised with yourself!! If not and you have to drop down half way through you are no worse off.
At very worst you shouldnt have to redo the whole week, just do the last day of week 2 and then move on.
Thanks that's just the motivation I need. I will try week 3 tomorrow and see how I go. (and thanks my mums a lot better)
I would try week 3. I just took 8 days off . Was on week 9. Today i continued on week 9.!!!! If you find it difficult just do 1 run of wk 2 then go to wk 3. No matter what you do you will get to wk 9. I stopped and started a few times but now I am at wk 9. Glad your Moms ok again
