W8R1 . Can almost say I enjoyed it.

Again I woke up not sure if I was going to manage a run today but reading blogs on here just left me with no excuses.

Main debate was what to wear in this weather as running for 28 mins I decided not to go too warm. I wore a long sleeved running top and hubbies lightweight wind stopper and my below knee running leggings. Think I chose well as temperature wasn't really a factor, I'm not too keen on running with gloves so as hubbies top a bit big I could pull my hands into it, do they weren't too bad.

I did run at a slightly slower pace to ensure a finish and throughout the run I averaged between 6 and 7 mins a kilometre. So even though the last minute was hard I can actually say I enjoyed it.

What is it with the last minute, unless I'm fortunate to be going down hill I haven't been able to give it any extra effort to finish faster, whenever laura tells me I have a minute left my body seems to want to groan to a stop. Only on Thursday my 25 minute run was that and no more but today I managed the 28 minutes ok, though had to dig deep for last minute.

As said many times on here, we should have a slogan MIND OVER MATTER

bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01cywtq I watched this programme when it was on TV originally and one bit sticks in my mind when I am running out of steam near the end of the run. Michael was involved in an experiment that proved he had more energy reserves than his legs were telling his brain so now I just tell myself 'my legs are lying, my legs are lying, keep going'. It worked really well for me on Saturday. :)

Thank you for the tip, I will definately think that on Tuesday's run and see if it helps. Would love to watch that programme
