Relax and enjoy it !

You've followed the program and you ARE ready for the next stage, just think how pleased you are going to feel when you complete that run. :-) :-) :-)

The program is designed to get you to each new stage, you will be fine, sometimes its easier doing a run than thinking about doing a run. I would never read ahead to see what was coming next in case it put me off, I like the idea of new running gear - something to look forward to at the end of week 9

Yep, decided if I got to this stage I would buy something to spur me on. When I finish the podcasts Ive got my eye on a lovely running top as reward! Also ive got a girlie holiday with my friends at the end of September and am planning to run in the sun with them on the beach as another reward!!! the thought of it and the amazing feeling I get from running is fab. One question what do you do when you run out of podcasts???

I did week 5 last week and i was nervous too, but its ok - i found i got an adrenalin rush when i started thinking i was a proper runner now the intervals were over 3 minutes.

From what i have read, most people just run with a stopwatch, some sort of app for their phones, or repeat the last podcast. good luck

Week 5 seems to be a bit of a watershed moment which so many C25K-ers approach with some trepidation. I was there a week ago, but having completed all three runs (and been amazed at being able to run for 20 minutes), I now feel so much more confident. Go for it, stick with it - I guarantee it will be worth it!

I was on week 5 last week and it was GREAT! The program really does get you through. I'm starting to incorporate hills into my route (I've been allergic to them up until now) and am thinking of repeating week 5 again. Good luck with your next run and let us know how it went for you!

How did it go? I did week 5 run 1 yesterday and like you, was dreading it! However, it was ok! Was expecting an 8 minute run for some reason, so the three 5's was a pleasant surprise!

Run 2 tomorrow.....think we just need to trust the plan!

Hope you got on ok!

Ive got run 2 tomorrow too!!!!!! going out in the morning although we are forecast storms and gale force winds, so I may be some time!!!! 8 minutes tomorrow!!!! Run 1 was fine, we'll see what happens tomorrow, let me know how you get on Kitty77
