Had to quit during a run today :(

Oh no! Tried running on the treadmill today and had to stop after 12 minutes because my left knee started to hurt. I stopped and stretched and tried again, but still felt bad so I gave up. I was too scared to carry on.

I'm going to go outside tomorrow and see how it is then. I did have two rest days since my last run so I haven't been overdoing it. Just not sure why it's playing up, and I'm feeling gloomy and concerned.

You did the right thing stopping, hope it feels better. Take care.

Bxster needs some company for her 10 mile later in the year ;-)

Ouch!!! Good thing you stopped - always best to, especially with knees :-/ It may simply be one of those weird things that happens sometimes - pains for no reason it seems - always best to rest it though and not take chances. Hope you feel better tomorrow

You would tell fellow c25k ers to stop rest then re -try. From the bit I have learnt from c25k - yes stop at pain, you were wise to stop and stretch, means you will get back sooner, (after doing the right thing.) Bit of end of the week RNR is required!!!! speedy recovery.

Thank you all for your support. I am quite nervous about tomorrow, but will let you know if it is better. Let's hope so!

I hope your next run goes well, you did the right thing not trying to push through. Maybe outside will be better, any chance of being on grass? The impact should be less and easier on your knee.

You definitely did the right thing in stopping and I would strongly recommend you don't run again until you have no pain in your knee. I am still not running due to my knees (see my many posts and very helpful suggestions from others on hear). I'm sure I really didn't help myself by running on my sore knees.

Hope it was just a random bit of pain and you're ok again now.

All the best :-)
