Couldn't manage 20 minutes.......

I was a bit bad last night and drank a whole bottle of wine so I felt a little bit rough this morning and wasn't convinced I could run for twenty minutes, but I wasn't going to not try....so, I got to the gym, did my five minutes walk and then it was time to start running.

I think as soon as I'd done the first minute I knew I could do the full twenty minutes. By halfway through, I was dancing in my head and trying not to smile like a loon and I knew I wouldn't want to stop at twenty minutes. I did the first 18 minutes at very slightly less than my "usual speed", then increased it to my normal speed for the last two minutes. When Laura said I could start walking, I upped the speed to my usual "fast" speed and then three minutes later I upped it again to faster than I've ever done before and romped along until the treadmill decided it had had enough and stopped me at 25 minutes. I followed that with a five minute walk and some stretches. I'm bouncing !!!!!!! :-)

It's great ! I nearly cried in the changing room but I had a bit of a dance in the shower instead !

You rock! Great achievement when you could have talked yourself out of the whole session.
