having felt a bit poo last week I finally completed week four and will embarke on week five run 1 on Wednesday. Havi g just realised that I will be running for 20 mins by the last week, well it's laughable! I can't do that can I?

Yes, you can. I felt just the same at the end of week four. I've now done two 28-min runs in week 8 (and a 25-minute week 7 one turned into 30 minutes because I was feeling good). The longer run intervals in runs one and two leave you very well prepared for the 20 minutes. Good luck.

You surely can! I set off on wk5 r3 thinking 'well, I'll probably be walking in a few minutes' but managed to keep going OK, VERY slowly which I think was the key. I'm now on 25 mins and getting impatient about my speed - never thought I'd hear myself say that!!

You'll be fine, I did week 5 run 1 today, it was great. Looking forward to Friday when I prove to myself that I can run as I'll be doing the 20 min run then. Good luck to us both! :)

You definitely can! You've got the strength & stamina, it's now all about telling you head that you can do it. And think how great it'll feel when you've done at the end... A.....maz.....ing!

make sure you have a strong word with those running demons before you go out for your run & take it easy & you WILL be fine. its more of a mental thing the 20min run.

Im 43 & me & my 2 girls, aged 12&13 did this one last week.

you can do it. positive thoughts...:)

Hi everyone - I have just joined this forum.

I completed week 5 run 3 (the dreaded 20 mins) last night and it was fabulous!

I took it easy to start with but as the time went on and my confidence grew so did my speed and the last two minutes of Laura's countdown were amazing - I was actually running as though I enjoyed it.

Pricey - you can do it! Just take it easy to start with.

I love running outside in the evening, just as the light is fading and all the lights are coming on. All the worries of the day just seem to fade away. I never ever in a million years thought I would say that I enjoy going out for a run :)

I voted for Week 4 as being the hardest for this exact same reason.

I could see the W5R3 run on the horizon and thought it would be just too big a jump .... but the thing was if you did all the prep then the fact of the matter is you will be ready for the 20 minutes.

I'm now on W7R3 and, like so many others will say here too, so surprised , so pleased, so excited and so proud to be doing this :-)
