First, thanks for all the replies to my first post. It is most encouraging. I can't reply to all but, keep running. I have now completed week two and it was hard! Much of that is because, with all the fine weather, I have been working in the garden. Digging out old shrubs (big roots), removing rotted trellis, digging out a wall and rebuilding it in a new location - it took a lot of effort to run after all that. One real tip - don't try to run too fast. This is for fun and not training for racing. I was starting the first run feeling like an 18 year old ( my wife won't let me have one!). That only lasted about 10 seconds - then I felt 80. Following runs were more sensible. Week three starts on Monday and let's see what that brings.

Congratulations to you TedPacemaker on completing run 3 of week 2 of C25K, glad that you are enjoying your running, you are correct that you don't need to run too fast, that applies to all the runs of this training program, the motto is "slow and steady" that will get you to run 3 of the final week in around 9 weeks, however, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, now onwards and upwards to week 3., I was at parkrun this morning, 3 runners were over the age of 80 so never too late to take up running.

Sounds like a full body workout! Slow and steady wins the race, that’s what I tell myself, anyway. Onwards to W3

Fabulous! And I know how gardening can take it out of you! I got my courtyard vegetable containers ready yesterday, but rather the gardening was AFTER an early morning run. But boy, was I tired by end of the day! I think I wouldn’t have been able to run after a day of gardening, so you’ve done awesomely well!!!
Happy (slow) running! You are doing great!

Well done m’dear, lovely to hear you’re making such great progress and doubly impressive considering all your gardening beforehand! Good luck with W3 💪
