The ominous Week 5 Run 3!

I’m very pleased to confirm that I completed the 20 minute run without stopping!

However, something *did* stop halfway all by itself - the couch to 5k app!! 😱 Luckily I was also tracking my run using Runkeeper which tells me the time and distance, so I was able to ensure that I’d run the full amount of time required. But it did mean I was without Sarah’s encouraging prompts throughout the second half of my run which was a shame but nice to know I can run without her at the same time.

It wasn’t easy, but it weirdly wasn’t as tough as some of the other runs I’ve done up until this point and I know the return to intervals next week can be a little tough after this run. I think it helped that I had a good playlist on today to keep me on track.

Only two more interval runs left before it’s just longer runs all the way to the end!! Onwards to week 6! 🏃‍♀️ Happy running all, wishing you good runs and hopefully no technical glitches!!

yay…well done LauraRuns …that’s the last one out of the way!! Good luck for week 6…don’t be tempted to set off like a whippet though, sometimes we feel invincible after week 5 run 3 and week 6 comes as a surprise…keep it nice and steady

Despite the app crashing you got your continuous run. That's all that's relevant this time. Of course back on intervals you need the narration and time stamped instructions.

I find the tech adversity comes along every now and again, more often than I'd like. When I have completed the last of week 9 runs I will be happy to just run without a machine. No voices, nor music. Once I can run for 30 minutes or more all I need is my start and end times which I can do on a watch. I don't bother with distance or speed but I do have a couple of 5k loops sorted for when I am ready.

Not what you're looking for?
