Nugget and I have succeeded finally! We may have also accidentally run more than intended-apparently Nike Run Club pauses the c25k app but doesn’t restart it. Nike Run Club sabotage!!! So I actually have no idea how long my first 5 min run actually was. It paused at 4.45 to go and I had distance wise run for blinking ages before becoming suspicious and deciding to check in on Reece. Honestly I was so tempted to throw in the towel for the day and retry tomorrow without NRC. But Nugget insisted we carry on…she is the bossiest trainer ever and I can’t even be mean back or hurl insults at her because she is so damn cute. So I restarted the count down and walked for a minute then ran again. Subsequently I checked the app after each NRC announcement. Sure enough it kept pausing but I’m not falling for that trick again. The run otherwise was actually not too bad at all, but I was shattered after. I found some floor based post run stretches. Nugget get decided to give me lots of encouragement by way of kisses alternated with sitting on me mid pose which made for an interesting cool down while fending her off her over zealous tongue. Is a sweaty forehead the dog equivalent of catnip for dogs or something?
In other news, we are Christmas jumper ready!!
Also weird question, on rest days I’m a lot hungrier, is this a thing?

Well done Jiggles ...and Nugget ... It sounds like you have a good running buddy there.A bit early for Christmas Jumpers for me ... although Nugget does look cute in their jumper 😃
Personally I am still trying to lose weight so every day is a hungry day ... running days I give in to temptation more than others 😉
To be fair both of my dogs love wearing jumpers, the BooBear will go so far as to sit outside the cupboard and bark until she has a jumper on in the winter months. Nugget just comes running when her sister gets dressed and pulls hers out of the cupboard. Sometimes they even match.
I’m not that bad on rundays, I tend to have a solid breakfast and that sees me through to 6-7pm. But rest days I’m ravenous. Slimming world is good for slimming and filling but I’m so off plan at the minute it’s unreal. I’m using the logic that once I’ve got the running nailed I’ll go back to group I don’t have the discipline to start two plans at the same time 🤣🤣
Oh no! Sounds like you survived the tech glitch well. I remember doing one of my C25K runs in Cornwall and my app kept cutting out and restarting. I think it was signal loss.
But I did the same, started over timing my own run. But like you, I had run quite a bit before I realized Steve Cram left me!
keep up the good work , inspirational reading your posts about you and nugget smashing these runs!, my little dog is to busy sniffing wooden telephone and broadband posts which seem ubiquitous in my area to run anywhere with me . Good luck !.
Hey there! You asked "Also weird question, on rest days I’m a lot hungrier, is this a thing?" Well I've felt the same (I'd been thinking it was all days, but now I reckon it may be more on the rest days!) I'd figured it was down to more calories being burned - hope so anyway! 😂
hah I read somewhere that it is basically the equivalent of burning off a mars bar. That said my smart watch disagrees and states I’m burning loads of calories probably because I’m a chunky monkey and forcing my heart into overtime😂😂 it’s weird I would have thought appetite changes would immediately follow exertion 🤷♀️ 🤷♀️
