Hi everyone, I thought I should get posting again to keep me on track and motivated.
I graduated C25K back in 2020 and then struggled to keep it up afterwards, a year later I got my running shoes back on and regraduated in 2021. I was able to keep the running up for a good few months afterwards but eventually life got in the way and my running kit started to gather dust.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I decided it was time to try again. My next run will be the dreaded W5R3 (and should be today - although I have a bad cold, which came on yesterday, so I may put it off until it clears - although tempted to still go 😏). The first half of the programme has been tough but enjoyable and I can already feel that I'm building my fitness again. I was willing Jo Whiley to tell me I could walk every time through the early runs but that has been getting less and less.
Its great to back on the forum and reading everyone's inspirational journeys. Hopefully I can graduate again before the new year.
Happy running everyone.

Great to see you back posting mate, sorry to hear about the cold potentially interrupting week 5 run 3, still the toughest run of c2k5 in my opinion. Hopefully it dosnt delay you too long 🤞🏻
3 5ks for me so far this week, two of them before shifts at work (still there now 😂) but havnt had chance to post anything. Planning a longer run Sunday, hopefully il get on and post something after that.
Great to see a post from you StoneDragon, always nice to see some familiar user names pop up and pleased to hear it’s going well for you so far! I just finished week 3 yesterday and had forgotten how tough it feels to run for 3 minutes, let alone 20 😂 I have to keep reminding myself to trust the process!
Hope the ominous week 5 run 3 goes well for you when you do get out there - I found it a real turning point last time. Keep us posted!
Thanks Laura, I managed to get back out there today, and all was good 👍 (see latest post)
Well done on your progress - week 3 was tough for me and the beginning of week 4 wasn't any better 😥 but I felt things getting better by the third run of week 4 (less wishing for the walking breaks even step and second!).
You'll be great and before you know it you'll be back to the old gazelle runs of old.
Welcome back StoneDragon it’s great to see you back. I’ve dropped a link about Wk 5 below. This was written by one of our legends who sadly is no longer with us. He was always a great inspiration to everyone here and really had a wonderful encouraging way with everyone. So please take a look and I hope it helps with week5 for you.
