Has anyone completed C25K then immediately after gone straight back to the beginning and done it all over again. It’s an OSTs question but I’m curious.
Back to the beginning. : Has anyone completed C... - Couch to 5K
Back to the beginning.
Odd not OSTs
There have been several people who have re-ran C25K several times, you can also repeat as many runs or week's if you wish to, although a 9 weeks course you can take as long as you want to, good luck. ✔️
That's a really interesting question Baggieboy61 . In my case the answer's Not on your nelly!
I can understand why people might want to repeat C25K if they've had to stop running for a while, or if they become unwell or injured immediately after completing the programme. But the idea of going back and restarting directly after finishing "just because" is incomprehensible to me, as I can't see any physical or mental advantage to it.
Once a year on the anniversary of me first starting C25K I will re-run W1R1. Sometimes I'll do it barefoot just for the hell of it.
I got injured on my final C25K run (ankle sprain) and after a month's rest and physio I pretty much started from scratch again. I wouldn't have done it by choice.
I'm currently doing C25K for the fifth time - on Week 4 at present. That's nearly always been after coming back from injury, so I've never repeated it straight away. However, I take your point about seeing how far you have come by rewinding to Week 1 - would be quite fun I think!.
I have repeated sections, a few times. Currently I am back to repeating from week 4 onwards due to the double whammy of getting a bad knee, followed shortly after by COVID .
I’ve repeated four times now, each time because of lay off through injury. I trust the programme and know it’s the safest way to rebuild the fitness. Boing Boing 😀
I’ve run the entire couch to 5k program 6 or 7 times.
The first one when I started running a few years ago. After that I got involved in a local running group, we run the C25K program a couple of times a year to help people wanting to get into running.
Doing it back to back for the sake of it - no way! Although in my newbie days I debated doing it again, but jogging the ‘walk’ intervals and fast running the ‘run’ intervals - quickly dismissed this as a bad idea at that time.
