Today I did the 3rd of the Stepping Stone runs that unlock after completing C25K. This was an easy paced 40 minute run, which sounded like a big step up from the 30 minute runs from week 9. It was however ok and I ran at a comfortable pace and just kept going, managing to run just under 4 miles.
My plan is to repeat the Stepping Stone runs for another 3 weeks and see how much progress I can make, hopefully improving speed and stamina.
After that my aim is to increase my distance so I can run a 10k. At 59 years old I’m not looking to run further than that, as I want to look after my knees and I think that will give me a level of fitness that I’m happy with. It’s just great to feel like a runner again.
Keep on with your C25K journeys and enjoy taking time out to do something for yourself ❤️

🍏 Well done Christrfc It’s SO good to have an ongoing plan towards our next goal. Have you had a look at the free Nike Run Club App.. lots of guided runs there to get you to 10k
Thank you. Yes I have joined the Bridge to 10k group. I’ll post less on here now, but just wanted to share the stepping stone runs before I go as they are a great addition to the C25K app. It’s great that after graduating there are lots of options for people to continue their running journey 😀
