I am a turtle this time round. I am adding running into my existing routine of group strength and sweat training I do a couple of days a week. I took five weeks off my strength training for summer fun, and added the couch to 5k a couple of weeks into my return. It seems to be taking a long time for my body to bounce back. I am feeling like a creeky old woman.
So long intro as to why I have only just finished week 2 run 2. I think it will take me a few weeks longer. And I sincerely hope I stop feeling so stiff and sore with time.

It's great that you have added C25K to your regime but I'm sorry you are experiencing some stiffness and soreness.
Are you taking rest days between runs? Completing the warm-up/cool down walks? Do you stretch before/after runs?
You might find that this decreases as you continue in the programme with your three runs/week.
thanks so much for the encouraging advice. Yes I am doing long warm up walks (about 15 mins) and cool down (20 mins) and I am also doing some stretching.
I am convinced that 10 weeks on I will have worked through all this soreness.
I just had my work medical and my white blood cell count is up, so it is possible I have light flu going on too, so am taking a few days rest and will start again next week.
🍏Symi Hidden has given you excellent advice which I endorse. Turtle 🐢 power will get you to the end once more!! Your body needs time to readjust back to running! Keep going & keep on sharing! Xx
