As the lazy hazy days of Summer continue I have yet to don my trainers. They look at me beguilingly, willing me to at least pick them up.
Grief comes in many guises & one of them is the loss of physical health and strength for whatever reason. However, wherever we are at on that journey, there is always something we can do towards recovery. The smallest positive step can ignite enthusiasm and hope. Donโt ever give up!
For me itโs keeping going, slowly increasing my walking steps each week. I may not be able to run, or even to walk unaided for any distance, but each step keeping me upright and moving forward is a victory in the right direction. One day I will put those trainers back on and head out into the crisp early morningโฆโฆ
I wonder how you are doing?

Small steps, any progress is positive, maybe we will heal together and step out one pace at a time, there's no hurry, just to know you are healing on your journey is enough xx
You're getting there. When things are tough it can be hard to see that they are improving, but they do, a little at a time. It feels like an eternity then one day, sooner than it feels, you'll be out of the woods and into your running shoes again.
I sound in a similar position.Ive just spent 9 1/2 weeks in hospital with some kind of infection, then COVID &heart surgery, which all came out of the blue.
Iโm now recovering with little steps, the tiniest thing seems huge, but these things are sent to try us &I definitely wonโt let it beat me.Onwards &upwardsโฆ.๐
๐๐ค That all sounds really difficult ๐ So sorry to hear but with your attitude you will only move onwards and upwards. Hopefully those little steps forward are enabling you to feel hopeful about your recovery. Wishing you everything of the bestโฆ we will one day run again โ๏ธ๐ฃ
