The end is nigh.. or at least getting closer in a plodding sort of way....

Well it's been a few weeks since I last posted about finishing w8r2. A tender knee and upcoming holiday put a stop to running, I didn't want to make the knee worse and then have to hobble around a boat for 2 weeks!

Anyway, I arrived back in the UK on Sunday and today had a bash at the final run of week 8 after a 3 week lay off.

It was also my first out door run whilst doing this round of c25k. It certainly made a change to run round the local lake, pacing was a challenge, but I made it!

I reckon 3 and a quarter laps of the lake will take me 30 minutes, but for now it's a rest day and then go for the big 30 on Thursday, with graduation hopefully next week.

I never thought I'd make it this far, just 3 runs to go. I CAN do this!

You can indeed... and plodding can be perfect just as slow and steady is super! Your run your way.... and enjoying it.

Great news and welcome back!

As OF says, slow and steady is key! I used to laugh that my most brisk walk was faster than my running pace. But it worked.
