A super race. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, the route was fab, it was warm and sunny, the support from the crowds was great. I even met up with Madge50 !

hey curly 👋….good to see you..…I really enjoyed it too, despite my horrendous headcold, might be up for that again…🤔…given the state of me, it certainly went better than I expected…....I didn’t hang around as I could feel my batteries draining to zero…….😴….I even had trouble standing still at crossings to get back to the car park!

Madge50 - I thought the lady that fell was you, she went down just before the start arch, she was wearing a green vest, and had her blond hair in a high bun/pony tail...she banged her head I think.... it was so congested I couldn't stop... the marshalls were helping her. I was so relieved when I saw you on the course, I'd been looking for you all the way. Poor woman

I didn’t know that, must have been after I’d gone through the start, didn’t see any issues when I went through………there was someone I came past, who looked like they’d fallen over at the turn you were going up to when I saw you……at about 7k? Two spectators were helping her….

I just thought ….what?…..that wasn’t me? confused me totally 😂…..

Didn’t hear anything about it…..I’m sure they would have looked after her well, poor thing.

Can you imagine though? Not even starting? We paid for two nights in the hotel...I'd have been gutted if it was me....how others didn't trip over her I just don't know, it was so narrow...

I found it ok actually, didn’t seem much different to any others with a start/finish arch to me..….. and it spread out ok just before the timing mats….i did think I’d got myself right in the middle, when daughter would be trying to take a pic of me from one side….😄….and because of the spread I ended up back over to one side….bonus!

But, yeah, I’d have been gutted if that’d been me, not least for the charity I’d promised to run for

Yes, it was fine - but a lady on the floor surrounded by marshalls made it a bit crowded, she must have been scared she would get trampled, or cause a pile up. I felt bad as I thought it was you, but I couldn't stop, I would have added to the problem.

I thought the whole thing was really well organised. There was nothing in the square when I got up a bit after 7 o'clock, we watched it all coming together, and they got it all down in double quick time too afterwards. People were thoughtful too of where they disposed of the water bottles. A lovely event altogether, I'm really glad I went. Raised a bit of dosh for Prostate Cancer too.
