Well, after flouncing around with salon gorgeous hair for two days it was time to get back in the saddle- or running shoes- again. Felt a bit smug that I had dodged two rubbish weather days too!
The skies had cleared and the wind had dropped from a hoolie to a breeze so I decided it was a beach kind of day and set off. I must have literally been trying to get the pebbles over and done with because my halfway time was faster than normal, but I felt OK. I wonder if there is any science behind it being more difficult to breathe in the wind, it certainly felt easier today.
Anyway another 5K and I actually did it in a bit quicker than Monday- canβt believe Iβm talking about PBs in 5K!π
Obviously this is all down to all the new Sweaty Betty sale gear- I knew it was performance enhancing π All the gear ...etc. Fake it till you make itππΌββοΈππΌββοΈsorry about the rubbish pic, had to do a selfie by the garage to get the leggings in! π

Amazing!! Love the outfit. Do you find wearing a headband helps or do you wear it more for the fashion? I wear a cap a lot and like the idea of a headband but can never decide if ti is worth investing in or not π€
Omg packers the headband is the best thing I ever bought!!! I sweat absolute buckets (hence the name!) and was forever getting it in my eyes! This does the job amazingly! It is literally disgusting when I take off, I could wring it out.
Despite my new found SB habit Iβm not really one for fashion, Iβm all about comfort. π
Ooo ok, yeah definitely might look into that on my next trip to the run store then! I feel like fashion comes second when it comes to running - if it's comfy and it lasts a while I'd rather have that than something really cute and it only last half the time - or at least that's what I like to think anyway π there's some things I avoid but most of the time if it's good quality I suck it up and buy it hahaha!
Ha ha believe me Peggy I definitely lived up to my moniker but by the time I had faffed around the glow was somewhat fading by the time I did my selfieπ
Thanks- wasnβt going for a PB it just happened π€·πΌββοΈI think my running is a bit like my snooker playing - hit and hope no strategy sometimes get lucky! Not that Iβve played snooker for years!
Ha ha love it!! I was out earlier in my new SB sports bra (with a t shirt over the top of courseππ). Love your gear. Was with my daughter who was head to foot in SBπ I also love Gymshark as their leggings are fantastic!!!
Gymshark...hmmmm -Oh no donβt give me another excuse!!!π
Under the loose open vest is actually the matching running top which might have been an eleventh hour sale purchase - but no way am showing my midriff off like a teenager π±
Ooooh lovely!! Know what you mean- my daughter runs in what I would classify as a bra but apparently itβs a crop topπ I did sneak in another SB order earlier though - floral power leggings and a top. Decided I Deserved it today after a 7k run and 2 dog walks!!
π€£oh to have the body of a teenager again to be able to get away with a crop top/bra!! Those days are long gone. My middle definitely has that lived in lookπ
Definitely deserved!ππΌI love the power leggings, the material feels so nice. I did a big sort out of all my gym / run gear after my SB sale splurge. Threw loads away and sorted it all out into categories like some sort of domestic IKEA drawer goddess, but it made me realise I have plenty...for now until I write my letter to Santa. (Although Iβd really like some more of those open back layering tops but SB donβt do them anymore. π)
All the gear, no idea...but maybe starting to get a smattering of how to go about this running/ bimbling malarkey π€£
I think I did download it but ended up going with NRC. I havenβt actually used any of the guided runs yet, Iβm just using it to track my time/ distance. π
One of things I like about my headband is that it holds my Bluetooth headphones in place. It took me ages to find a pair that didnβt fall out, Iβve probably got weird ears or something, so it was a bonus that the headband secures then even better. So Iβm sort of with you - I havenβt looked into the BT headbands - I presume the earphones are removable for washing?! π±
π€£ I ended up buying some with those ear hooks (is the only way I can think to describe) but even then I had to try a couple of designs until I found some that would stay put.
One thing I do know.. those air pods would be a disaster π±
We may have discovered a new club- the weird lugsπ€£π€£
Mr Motivator π How could one man have sooo much energy and so many lycra shorts? π
Yep, I've had to go with the ones that hook over your ears and has a bit going round the back of your head. The pods kept popping out while I was running!
I decided that I have delicate little ears but my son says I just have weird lug holes π€£
I bet there are secretly lots who could join our new club π
