🍏Morning Kevin! Your daughter is keeping you on the hop! Do take a look on Bridge to 10k at the training plan for a 10k race! If you want to avoid injury in these weeks after graduation you need to build up slowly but surely. Hope it all goes well.
Very ell done to you... do take a look as Annieapple suggets a peek at Bridge to 10K !
Remember too, that as newish graduate, your running legs are still building up. Take your runs, gently and steadily... and do make sure you are popping in some really good core strength and stamina work on some rest days. The rest of your running body needs as much TLC as the legs! If you are going for that 10K, then building up will be essential.
No jumping of fences involved I hope
Loads of ideas for that, on the Strength and Flex Forum and also posted on this forum too!
Congratulations on that parkrun! Was it your first? There’s a weekly parkrun run report thread over on Bridge to 10k where you can share how yours went and get some cheers! There’ll be a new one on Saturday. This is this week’s one if you’re interested in seeing what it’s like!
Ooh a 10k race! Exciting, and quite soon! Have you got a plan for increasing your distance? Is 5k your longest run so far? What’s your weekly running looking like at the moment?
One more link-Fun Beyond 10k and race support put out pom poms for people doing events of any length. Here’s the thread for May events.
