Help falling out of love with c25k

Just completed w7r2, have found the last few runs hard as they are all outdoors and the weather has not been conjusive to the great out doors (no access to a treadmill) There are only a couple of out and back runs I can do on the road and they are beginning to overlap now the runs are getting longer, just waiting to be able to run the paths in the local fields which will give me some circular routes to run. Still gripe over, positives are pace is improving, worked out how to use strava and listen to pod casts and the c25k app all at once and haven't stopped on a run yet, and determined to see the 9th week out 👍

you are doing so well! Don’t stop! Keep on keeping on!

Whilst I did C25k, I fell in love with the Footpath App, available on all smartphones (see their website at footpathapp.com ).

It really got me excited to map out my future routes!

So if you like maps, it might help with getting motivated for your next runs!

Thank you for your message of support and encouragement CBDB, we have lots of footpaths near to us and some glorious countryside to run through, it's just a shame at the moment that its all a bit too muddy and boggy for a comfortable run and I'm getting a bit too long in the tooth to keep scraping my trainers off, have come so far again no way I'm giving up, just falling a little out of love with it at the moment but I'm sure it will be back.

Yes, hope you get your mojo back! And it’s the mud season, allright!

I hit one of those boot buddies last year at the start of the rainy season, and it lives just outside our house door ready to be used to clean my shoes on my return.

Here is an old review, just in case it’s of interest. healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...

Thank you for this recommendation.. I’ve just tried it, drawing a couple of routes I already use. I love that you can then see the whole route showing the gradients before you start!

Yey! Yes, it’s great, isn’t it. Hope it helps make you really excited to run new routes. It certainly worked for me!

Feel the same about muddy fields ! I could have more varied routes if it would just stop with the rain. Should be run day but I can hear the rain on the window so might have a cuppa first 🙁

🍏well done for keeping on in spite of this horrible rain and in our case wind that never seems to stop. You are setting up good strong resolve to get through tough things. Our attitude to our running often spills over into our everyday lives!! Well done and you will soon graduate and the sun will start shining!!! This is a tough patch but it will pass & you will start to fall in love all over again!

I'm a bit confused between the title of your post and what you've written about your run... Sounds like you're doing fine!

That's awesome 😎 and I'm sure the paths and fields will dry out eventually
